Privacy Policy

Facebook Marketplace AI Lister ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Product images – Photos you select are converted to base64 and sent to Google's Gemini API solely to generate listing content. They are not stored by us.
• API key – Your Gemini API key is stored locally in chrome.storage.local on your device only. It is never transmitted to our servers.
• Region & language settings – Stored locally in chrome.storage.local. Used only to tailor AI output.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect any personal information (name, email, address, etc.).
• We do not have servers or databases. No data is sent to us.
• We do not track browsing history or Facebook activity.
• We do not use cookies or analytics.

3. Third-Party Services

When you analyze a product, your images and region/language preference are sent to Google Gemini API via a Cloudflare Worker proxy operated by the developer. The proxy forwards your request to Gemini and returns the result — it does not log or store your images or any personal data.

If you provide your own Gemini API key in Settings, your request is sent directly to Google without passing through our proxy.

4. Permissions Explained

• storage – Saves your API key and settings locally on your device.
• scripting – Injects the autofill script into Facebook Marketplace listing pages.
• tabs – Identifies the active Facebook Marketplace tab to send autofill data.
• host_permissions (facebook.com) – Required to run the autofill content script on Facebook pages.
• host_permissions (workers.dev, googleapis.com) – Required to call the Cloudflare Worker proxy and Google Gemini API.

5. Data Retention

All locally stored data (API key, settings, last analysis result) remains on your device. You can clear it at any time by removing the extension or clearing Chrome extension storage.

6. Children's Privacy

This Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
